Caledonian McBrayne (0800 066 5000; www.calmac.co.uk sails between Kennacraig and Port Ellen or Port Askaig. Flybe (0871 700 2000; www.flybe.com flies from Glasgow International to Islay. How to find Bayview
The ferry arrives at Port Ellen on Islay and from there you turn right out of Port Ellen and head for Lagavulin. Lagavulin is about 3 miles from Port Ellen. You will pass the Lagavulin Distillery on your right and after about 200 metres there is a telegraph pole on your left opposite a gap in the wall on the right, barely noticeable as a junction. Turn right and cross the cycle track and as you drive down the road Lagavulin bay opens up in front of you. Bayview is the third cottage just down the road on your left.
If you arrive into Port Askaig port or to the airport follow the signs for Port Ellen and then follow the directions above.
