Holidays in Lagavulin

Lagavulin, near bayview cottage on Islay

The cottage is on one of the most picturesque and historical parts of the island. A popular destination for the annual malt cruise, the cottage is within staggering distance of Lagavulin and Ardbeg distilleries.

Once occupied by the Lords of the Isles during their tenure of Finlaggan, Dun Naomhaig (Dunyveg, Dunyvaig) castle guards the entrance to Lagavulin Bay. From the cottage you can walk to the shore, where you might meet the neighbours, a happy family of seals who will welcome you to Islay.
